Second Chance Exchange is an online-only consignment shop currently serving the Burlington and Greensboro areas. We provide a convenient resale service for individuals who want to earn money from items you no longer need - without the hassle of photographing, listing, or shipping.

We accept just about everything - clothing, accessories, home goods, decor, electronics, books, video games, DVDs, and more. We cannot accept any large or heavy items that would require more than one person to move them such as furniture or large appliances. 

Items must be clean, in good condition, operable, free of stains, tears, damage, pests, and odors. We will not accept and will discard items that are unsellable due to quality concerns. 

Simply fill out our online form! Once scheduled, pack your items and we'll come by for pickup in the Burlington or Greensboro area!

During sorting, any items that do not meet our quality standards will be discarded. We cannot return rejected items, so please review your items before packing. 

In most cases, no. Once items are received, they are sorted and distributed across different storage and sales channels, which makes it difficult to return them. 

If we are able to work with you to retrieve a specific item, there will be:

• A service charge to cover the work and money already invested in trying to sell the item
• A shipping fee to send the item back to you
• A sales recovery fee for loss of income due to losing the sell

We encourage customer to carefully consider the items they consign before pickup, since returning them later may not be possible. 

It all depends. Factors like name brand, age, wear, popularity, and others will affect the sales price. Based on the sales price of the item, you will earn the following:

• 60% of profit if the item is sold from Day 1 - Day 60 of it being actively listed
• 50% of profit if the item is sold after Day 61 of it being actively listed

If an item is not sold within 120 days of it being actively listed, it may be sold in bulk to a large-volume dealer at a discounted rate. You still receive 50% of the profit of the item, however it could be far less than what it was listed for.

You'll be given access to a portal once you schedule your first pick up where you can watch as your items are listed and sold. Payments will be deposited into your portal account within 10 business days after a sale and you can withdraw your balance to a checking account anytime once it reaches $10 or more.

Nope! We handle all of that - photography, online listings, shipping, and customer service. You just pack your items for pickup and relax!

Pickup is included in our service for the Burlington and Greensboro areas - no extra fee!

We sell items on various online platforms including Facebook Marketplace, Poshmark, Mercari, Ebay, and plan to open our own online shop soon!

You may not find all items we have for sale online because we work with an extensive collection of other vendors to make sure our customer's items sell at the best price!
